VPC WarBRD-D Base

Buyers entering the Virpil ecosystem who want adjustable damping and duralumin quality without the flagship base price.

~$260 approx 2026 street price, base only (~$234 on sale); grip separate

Virpil's compact, popular spring-cam base and the affordable way into the VPC ecosystem. The 'D' revision inherits the flagship MongoosT-50's independently adjustable axis clutch dampers, so you can run the stick fully free for raw inputs, semi-damped to steady your aim, or fully locked. It uses an aircraft-grade duralumin gimbal and a 14-bit native-resolution contactless sensor (0.02-degree detection), and every cam set now ships in the box. Swapping springs/cams means partial disassembly, which is the main usability gripe.

Common questions

WarBRD-D or MongoosT-50CM3 base?
The WarBRD-D is more compact and cheaper and shares the adjustable clutch dampers; the MongoosT-50CM3 is larger with a longer throw and more extension options. For most desktop HOSAS the WarBRD-D is the value pick.
Does it come with a grip?
No. The WarBRD-D is a base only; you mount a VPC grip such as the Constellation ALPHA on top.
